About the author

Joanne Dillinger responds to emails faster than phone calls. She never seems to grow tired of a full cup of coffee, but does appreciate a good cold glass of chocolate milk from time to time. She hates leaving the house without saying goodbye to her cats, seldom passes up an opportunity to ask questions, and loves eating things that make her stomach hurt.

She hates cooking, is a huge Star Trek: Next Gen and Voyager fan. She decorates her downtown apartment with action figures, maps and a mantle that subs as a Voodoo shrine. She loves having plants in the house but tends to kill them.

A former dancer and video editor, she made a break from her previous jobs to pursue a writing career. She spins web designs for cash, brokering the skills that will soon design the jacket of her best-selling novel, even as she works to put the finishing touches on the story.

Despite her streetwise exterior, her compassionate internal drive compels her to volunteer for global NGOs and local charities. She frequently devotes her time, language, and skills to organizations that support women, poverty, and the ongoing battle against third world infectious disease.

Her writing is deeply personal. The gritty urban world she paints is a mere reflection of the fierce emotional struggle that each of her characters face internally. Sex and violence intermingle with love and hate in a mood-altering ballet of force that motivates a response from her unsuspecting readers.

You are a Goddess! By far, your poems are the best I've read in a LONG while. I am so inspired & infatuated by your work. You are an absolutely remarkable poet & artist. I love how dominant and independent your work is...it screams out I DON'T GIVE A LOVELY FUCK! Your way with the words, and how you perfectly fit them together is profound! You've inspired a young artist today. PLEASE keep writing...I will definitely be back for more!!!!

Wow! I am totally impressed. I think that so far, you are the only person I have come across whose poetry I relate to in so many different ways. I read them all. Hungrily devoured them if you will. Your work is focused and intense. If you ever get the time, write me. I'd like to work on some poetic collaborations with you in the future. That is if you would be interested. If you want to see a bibliography of my work, e-mail me and I will send you one. I really hope to hear from you!

YOUR WORDS CREATE A VERY GRAPHIC WORLD. YOU INSPIRE MORE FEELINGS, THOUGHTS, HALLUCINATIONS, NIGHTMARES AND DREAMS OF HOPE THAN ANY OTHER WRITER I'VE READ!!! YOUR SHIT'S INTENSE!!!!
