dreamdangerous.com - named after a message Neil Gaiman scribbled into my hardback first edition of American Gods, when I met him at a book-signing - Hey Neil, I am (finally) finishing things! :)
I've decided to put the domain name to good use as a writerly site, being that it was a writer who named it after all. I usually write fiction, with some prose that loosely qualifies as poetry, and a non-fiction book about my work on a film crew in East Africa ... which has been in the works (on the backburner might be a more accurate description ;)) for the better part of 4-years.
Not only will I be posting excerpts from my novels along with a few short stories and poems, I'm actually going to post the fascinating stages of the thankless, painstaking process of trying to find an agent, and then attempting to get a novel published.
I figured this would be a cool spot to put all my rejection letters, thus giving me a super-effectual place in which to wallow in my flawed decision making process — taking a year off to write a book may have been a mistake, in terms of moving forward in my design career, though it's one I hardly regret. ;)
Feel free to peruse my shiny not-quite-so-new, watch-my-long-slow-torturous-pursuit-of-authordom website.
wordness!
